All our fresh chocolates are made by hand in our purpose-renovated atelier in Aughnacliffe

About our chocolates

We are a family business. Our aim is to offer fresh chocolates and new experiences to most people who had never had really fresh chocolates - to say "Not all milk chocolate is bad!" or Not all 70% plain chocolate is as good as the media insists on telling you. We blend many of the fine chocolates to create new experiences, and we have found that there is simply not a "one size fits all" answer to what type of chocolate people prefer. We offer some fantastic chocolate from around the world, we offer origin chocolate, chocolate from specific regions, sometimes we are fortunate enough to be able to source a chocolate from Single Estate Cocoa- but each year's crop is different and quite often we choose not to take any at all.
We also offer many different 70%s - glorious, sour, bitter, pungent, to red deep Tanzania. Many of these chocolates we also use in our fresh chocolates to bring them very much alive. We are privileged as a small producer to be able to access some really fantastic rare cocoas and chocolate. We sell by taste, quality unquestionable, and delivery/presentation for you to enjoy.

 

 

Allergen & Information

We use no products that contain gluten in any of our chocolates.
We do use nuts, and with the introduction of the new allergen labeling recomdations in 2015, we have decided to put the word "nuts" on each ingredient label as our workshop is not a nut free environment.
All our plain chocolate is dairy free. All our truffles contain dairy.
We can make plain dairy free truffles on request only - certain (small) minimum quantities would apply. If you have any specific queries we would be happy to discuss and please feel free to contact us to get clarification on any of our products

 Origin ChocOneill

10 years ago Jamie and Béatrice O'Neill began making chocolates. The aim was to produce very high quality European style Truffles and Pralines Along the way we found our way through a world of delicious cocoas and fantastic chocolate and chocolate makers . 

  Jamie grew up in Naas Co. Kildare, and Béatrice in Luxembourg. Although we out-grew our workshop in Naas, the founding principle of small fresh batches has remained unchanged. Our workshop is now just outside the village of Aughnacliffe between Loch Leebeen and Loch Gowna in North Co. Longford
